Roger Preston & Partners Appointed
Roger Preston & Partners provided outline advice for the client’s viability studies prior to the purchase. RPP was then appointed to provide mechanical, electrical, vertical transportation and fire engineering consultancy advice to enable submission for detailed planning approval.
The façades of the 20 storey speculative office development have been designed to meet the forthcoming new Part L Building Regulations criteria which seek to restrict unwanted solar gains on an orientation basis. The building will achieve an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating.
The development will also result in significant public realm enhancements including the creation of a verdant square.
Strong Interest
Gerald Kaye, director of Helical Bar plc commented “With limited supply of new, good quality City office space forecast to come to the market over the medium-term, combined with the high spec of design on offer, we feel confident that this building will see strong interest from potential occupiers.”
