‘Outstanding’ BREEAM
Beyond the building’s eye catching serrated state of the art glazed façade, asymmetrical pentagonal footprint and hidden wind protected terrace garden is a new approach to environmental engineering.
The use of biofuelled CCHP tri-generation, heat recovery to ventilation and solar hot water heating led to a reduction of CO2 emissions by 73% over the base requirement. This design platform contributed significantly towards the project achieving a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating, the first of its kind to be awarded to an office building in the UK.
