PLANNING APPROVAL FOR PARK LANE MEWS HOTEL

2 February 2010

Roger Preston & Partners has been supporting Chelsfield in achieving planning permission for a seven storey hotel and residential development in Mayfair, London.
The development received planning permission from Westminster City Council for the construction of a new hotel and part refurbishment of the existing residential buildings.

The development will provide a total floor area of 5,788 m² consisting of 44 hotel bedrooms and 15 luxury apartments. The new build, five star boutique hotel will meet the growing international demand for luxury with personal service.

The residential development comprises the refurbishment of an existing Grade II listed building and the adjacent construction of a new block of apartments.

An energy-efficient combined heat and power (CHP) scheme will provide the majority of the development’s hot water and a portion of its heating and electrical load.

“Very Good” BREEAM rating

Commenting on the buildings’ strong environmental credentials, Ian Mulquiney, Project Director for Roger Preston & Partners, said, “Our team has done a great job of working with the architect and other design team members to develop an efficient and effective environmentally responsible solution. We are now looking forward to the challenges of delivering the development before the opening of the 2012 Olympics.”
