The Office Development Awards, which took place on 20th October at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, reward the year’s most innovative developments in the office property market. Schemes shortlisted for the ‘Development of the year outside central London’ category were judged on their architectural qualities, flexibility and attractiveness to institutions.

Central role

Roger Preston & Partners has played a central role in the delivery of mechanical and electrical, lifts and fire strategy services for 3 Hardman Street, which forms part of the prestigious Spinningfields development. The practice been involved in Spinningfields since 2003 and has designed the mechanical, electrical and vertical transportation installations for over 75,000m2 of office accommodation and 10,000m2 of retail accommodation. 3 Hardman Street is the latest building to be completed and has been awarded an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM environmental assessment rating.

Further boost to credibility

The development recently received a further boost to its reputation with several well known organisations signing up as tenants. These include Barclays, the General Medical Council, BDO Stoy Hayward, Baker Tilley, Regus and Pinsent Mason. Roger Preston & Partners has also been undertaking fit out design work for Barclays.
