WATERLOO'S £1 BILLION ARRIVAL

Two of the world’s biggest investors have committed to
significant redevelopment at Waterloo.
|
|
The 1.4mft² scheme on the site of the existing Elizabeth
House, adjacent to Waterloo Station, will be developed
by P&O Estates and Morgan Stanley Real Estate. Two
office blocks and a residential tower will be sited over
an enhanced pedestrian plaza designed to generate a greatly
improved public realm.
Roger Preston & Partners have long been associated
with the site, having successfully completed the Waterloo
International Terminal and have been providing assistance
to P&O for 10 years in respect to this adjacent development.
The Planning Application for the Allies & Morrison
Scheme has now been lodged with Roger Preston & Partners
providing building services, energy and sustainability
advice. Purpose designed cladding optimising daylight
and solar control, and a significant renewable fuelled
energy centre, allows the redevelopment to better all
current CO2 reduction targets.
The project is the latest in a long series of significant
and high rise projects undertaken by ourselves, including
1 Blackfriars Road, the St George Tower, St Botolph’s,
51 Lime Street and 20 Blackfriars Road, all of which have
enhanced energy reduction measures and have received planning
approval.
