The
global investment & banking company, Bear Stearns, has appointed
Roger Preston Interiors as its engineering services consultant
for a new building at Canary Wharf.
|
|
This
appointment continues Roger Preston Interiors’ long
and successful association with major financial institutions
and follows recent major fit-out commissions for HSBC,
Citibank and Morgan Stanley.
5 Churchill Place is located adjacent to the main tower
at Canary Wharf and is being developed to shell and core
by Canary Wharf Contractors with enhanced base-build provisions
to make the space appropriate for a significant banking
presence. Bear Stearns has initially signed a lease to
take 8 levels of the new building
Roger Preston Interiors was an early appointment to the
client team and, having established a clear understanding
of the Client’s business and objectives, provided
essential advice on:
· the impact on the building of the Clients long
term development plan
· value engineering and future proofing
· the effectiveness and suitability of the base-build
core and floor services.
Close support was also provided to the client during the
final lease negotiations.
Roger Preston Interiors appointment includes monitoring
of the base build team together with detailed design and
supervision of CAT A and CAT B works, which incorporate
the following specialist areas:
· Data Centre [1000m²]
· 500 person catering facility
· Auditorium services (including IT and AV specification)
