The 37,500m2 development is located within a historically sensitive area in the city centre on a site where Pope John Paul II held a public mass in June 1999.
Roger Preston Polska were commissioned to design the mechanical, electrical, public health and fire-fighting services for the scheme. Project architects are Foster & Partners.
Three “jellybean”-shaped buildings will cluster around a central courtyard. Retail units will operate at ground level with office accommodation in the upper levels. Two underground car parks will be able to accommodate 400 cars.
Granite solar shading will result in a distinctive visual style for the office development.
The building is fully air-conditioned utilising an underfloor ventilation system, supplemented with perimeter fan-coil units.
