This scheme involves the redevelopment of the existing Selfridges store whilst retaining the listed classical building along Oxford Street and keeping the store trading throughout the process.

Engineering features include the relocation of existing plant, 7 MW stand-by power generators, smoke control, extensive heat recovery systems and vertical transportation provisions.

Scope of services: complete design of mechanical and electrical services, design concept developed jointly with OTRA - French Consultants.

Anchor tenants: Geant Supermarket, Ster Centry (multiplex), AGD RTV -household electronics

Construction programme: 24 months

Date of completion: November 2000

Additional information: in addition to standard design duties RP+K was commissioned to provide site supervision on behalf of the Client.

appointed to carry out the design of the
building services installation at Heathrow's
Terminal 3 International Departures
Lounge as part of the BAA Framework
Agreement.


The refurbishment works expanded the
existing IDL to cover an area larger than
Webley Stadium but at the same time
keeping all areas operational to minimise
disruption to passengers and staff.
Substantially expanded landside retail and
catering facilities were also included within
the project.
